Por razones políticas se vió obligada al exilio en la dictadura junto a toda su familia. En España trabajó intensamente en el ámbito socio-educativo con sectores populares. Con el regreso de la democracia, volvió a Mendoza a trabajar en los mismos barrios populares y fue directora del CEBJA Nº 3 - 108 (Centro de Educación Básica de Jóvenes y Adultos), que hoy lleva el nombre de \"Paulo Freire\" a propuesta de ella. Por otra parte impulsó la creación de un centro educativo de adultos para nivel secundario, que se concreta en 1991 como el CENS 3-415 \"Jorge Paschuan\".
